Виталий Коваленко в своем выступлении подчеркнул, что на Ставрополье ведется постоянная работа по сохранению и развитию системы лечебных учреждений. По словам спикера, в проекте бюджета края на 2011 год затраты на медицину заложены с ростом в 40 процентов. Всего же на здравоохранение планируется направить 17 процентов расходов казны Ставрополья.
Однако, как заметили участники «круглого стола», проблем в отрасли немало, поэтому медицинское сообщество края возлагает большие надежды на реализацию проекта "Качество жизни (Здоровье)". Эта программа должна способствовать повышению качества бесплатного медицинского обслуживания населения.
В этой связи Максим Мищенко отметил, что руководство страны и партии "Единая Россия" уделяют большое внимание реализации этой программы. Подтверждает эти намерения и выделенная на нее солидная сумма – 460 миллиардов рублей на два года.
